A Hand-stitched Native American Pacific Northwest Tree Scene and Gem Medallion Necklace. This hand stitched seed bead scene piece features a Mountains and tree top scene with the a yellow sun and pearl sky scene. The medallion piece is backed with a pearl leather and a light green statement gem is attached at the bottem for an even more eye catching one-of-a-kind neck piece.

Our hand-stitched Medallion type Necklaces are created over several hours using size 11 seed beads. All of our Medallions are hand-sewn onto a beaded foundation with a layer of plastic and backed with leather for durability. This piece is also finished with the burnt bone pipe beads with matching stopper beads.
 
About the artist:
 
Rayne Pelham is the artist and curator behind Grandmother Spiders Design. She is a descendant of both the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska and the White Earth Band of Chippewa. After many years as an educator and producing artworks on occasion, she is now turning her hobby into a career. She specializes in Native American-inspired designs producing art and jewelry that is truly unique.
 
The design studio's name is derived from the legend behind Rayne's Ojibwe name. Named when she was one, she is also, Nah quay Wa bun in nee go quay; translated she is Catches the Morning Sunrise Woman, a name given in honor of the story of Grandmother Spider.
