This "Horse and Hound" watercolor piece is the image of a husky and a horse in a winter field. Yellow is used as the light, while the rest is done in cool tones of purple, blues, and green to create a colorful and warm image of two, once wild but tamed animal friends. It comes in the simple gray wood frame pictured.

About the artist:

 

Rayne Pelham is the artist behind Grandmother Spider Design. A descendant of both the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska and White Earth band of Chippewa in Minnesota. One of many proud great grandchildren of Elizabeth Bender and Henry Roe Cloud.

The design studio's name is derived from the legend behind Rayne's Ojibwe (Chippewa) name. Given when she was one, she is also, Nah quay Wa bun in nee go quay; translated she is Catches the Morning Sunrise Woman, a name given  in honor of the story of Grandmother Spider: underestimated for her size, her talent to create beauty with her detail was undeniable.
