Dark Pink Roses Headband. This beaded rose headband is hand sewn with size 11 seed beads in varying blush and mauve pinks. The leaves are an opaque white and outline in a bright silver. The dark mauve color is used to back the final images to help the details stand out. It has a metal headband that is backed and surrounded by a cream white leather for comfort and to hold the shape. 
 
About the artist:
 
Rayne Pelham is the artist and curator behind Grandmother Spiders Design. She is a descendant of both the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska and the White Earth Band of Chippewa. After many years as an educator and producing artworks on occasion, she is now turning her hobby into a career. She specializes in Native American-inspired designs producing art and jewelry that is truly unique. 
 
The design studio's name is derived from the legend behind Rayne's Ojibwe name. Named when she was one, she is also, Nah quay Wa bun in nee go quay; translated she is Catches the Morning Sunrise Woman, a name given in honor of the story of Grandmother Spider.
